Finding articles in Ryan Library

As part of your research, you will want to find articles out of relevant journals/magazines.  Ryan Library provides access to 80 Reference Databases for members of the PLNU community. These databases contain thousands of articles, many of which are available full-text from within the database.

Figuring out which of those databases to use can be a bit confusing. So, for researching topics for CMI 200, try starting with one of the following subject-specific databases:

You will be asked to log in with your PLNU network information to access any of these databases.

Beryl's Hint: Since all of the databases listed above are from the same vendor (EBSCO), you can search all of them in one search!  Here's how:

  • Open one of the databases.
  • Click on "Choose Databases" link right above the search box.
  • A dialog box will open...check mark the databases you want to add to the search.

Still having trouble finding sources? Try this other helpful, subject-specific database (non-EBSCO):

You can also search in more general databases, such as:

Please use the "Ask a Librarian" box on any page in this guide to ask for assistance.  Librarians are available to give real-time help most hours Ryan Library is open.
