About the Five Favorite Books Project

Beginning in 2008, Point Loma Nazarene University's Ryan Library has celebrated National Library Week (April 12 - 18, 2015) by asking members of the PLNU community:

"What are your Five Favorite Books?"

  • An individual poster is created for each participant.
  • The posters are displayed three ways:
    • in hard copy in the library
    • rotating through on the library's flat screen television
    • online (on this web page)
  • The display is typically up for 3 weeks.
  • Participants are welcome to participate every year if they choose.
  • There are no criteria as to what type of book can be submitted (fiction, non-fiction, scholarly, children's, etc.).
  • Anyone who is a member of the PLNU community (student, faculty, staff) is welcome to participate.
  • The poster is yours to keep after the display ends.

Use the tabs above to see the posters from last year, as well as to find out the most popular titles and authors!

Want to participate this year?  Fill out this form!  Deadline for entry is April 6, 2015.
