About the Five Favorite Books Project

Beginning in 2008, Point Loma Nazarene University's Ryan Library has celebrated National Library Week (April 14 - 20, 2013) by asking members of the PLNU community:

"What are your Five Favorite Books?"

  • An individual poster is created for each participant.
  • The posters are displayed three ways:
    • in hard copy in the library
    • rotating through on a flat screen television in the library
    • online (on this web page)
  • The display is typically up for 3 weeks.
  • Participants are welcome to participate every year if they choose.
  • There is no criteria as to what type of book can be submitted (fiction, non-fiction, scholarly, popular, children's, etc.).
  • Anyone who is a member of the PLNU community (student, faculty, staff) is welcome to participate.
  • The poster is yours to keep after the display ends.
