Five Favorite Books Display

The Five Favorite Books display is currently up in the lobby of Ryan Library and will remain so until Monday, April 24th. Stop by to take a look. We hope you find a new favorite book!

About the Five Favorite Books Project

Beginning in 2008, Point Loma Nazarene University's Ryan Library has celebrated National Library Week (April 10 - 14, 2017) by asking members of the PLNU community:

"What are your Five Favorite Books?"

  • An individual poster is created for each participant.
  • The posters are displayed two ways:
    • in hard copy in the library
    • online (on this web page)
  • The display is typically up for 3 weeks.
  • Participants are welcome to participate every year if they choose.
  • There are no criteria as to what type of book can be submitted (fiction, non-fiction, scholarly, children's, etc.).
  • Anyone who is a member of the PLNU community (student, faculty, staff) is welcome to participate.
  • The poster is yours to keep after the display ends.

Favorite Books by Author, Title and Popularity

This year 320 books were submitted. See the document below to view spreadsheets sorted by author, author/title, and popularity.
