Beyond the Basic Google Search: Alerts

This presentation given at Point Loma Nazarene University's 2014 Fall Festival "Ask A Professor." The guide presents a look at Internet search engines and directories to enhance your search strategies.

How-to have Alerts work for you.

By creating a Google Alert you can get email notifications any time that Google finds new results on a topic you’re interested in. For example, you could get updates about a product you like, find out when people post content about you on the web, or keep up with news stories. Make the Internet work for you by keeping up-to-date on topics of interest to you.  Once you create an alert you are notified via email of the new content.

You can create up to 1003 alerts.  See the Google Alerts Help Center page for details.
